SUSTAIN-ITALY: OUR KEYWORD
At ROMAN, we have chosen the ladybird (Coccinella in Italian) as our visual brand ambassador for Sustain-Italy and sustainability. Ladybirds, also known as ladybugs, play a crucial role in agriculture and sustainability by serving as natural pest control agents. These beneficial insects are voracious predators of aphids, mites, and other harmful pests that can damage crops. By naturally regulating pest populations, ladybugs reduce the need for chemical pesticides, which can have harmful effects on the environment, including soil degradation and water pollution. Their presence promotes biodiversity and the health of agricultural ecosystems, contributing to a balanced and resilient agricultural environment, which we seek at ROMAN at large. We coined the word “Sustain-Italy” as our keyword and mantra to highlight the inextricable connection between Italy and sustainability in our business and production practices throughout our supply chain.
